Abstract
Shame is neither guilt nor modesty. Shame is characterized by the distress to lose both loves from its nearest relations, self-esteem and connection with its own community. This is why the distress which border all types of shame is to entrench oneself from humankind and is so difficult to name. As a consequence it is mandatory to learn how to recognize shame behind its various masks when keeping in mind that shame is an individual marginalization experience which necessitates a reaffiliation to humanity.
