Abstract
The patients suffering from obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea are more often identified and certainly better treated today than yesterday. The technical progress of the treatment by continuous positive airway pressure allows more patients to benefit from the treatment comfortably. The commitment of various healthcare professionals represents an important help for the patients in their everyday life. However, the treatment compliance remains suboptimal. In answer to this problem, we discuss here the crucial role of therapeutic education of the apneic patient in a long term perspective.
