Abstract
Waist circumference is a good tool to evaluate visceral adipose tissue and is considered as a good predictor of the risk of cardiovascular disease and diabetes mainly in overweight or in type I (moderate) obese subjets. The relevance of this simple measure of abdominal obesity depends of a standardized measurement.
