Abstract
Do we need to reconsider the definition of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM)? Do we need to implement a systematic screening of GDM? The recently published ACHOIS and HAPO studies support changes in our practices, assuming to simplify screening strategy, to reconsider GDM diagnosis criteria and to better define glycemic levels for therapeutic intervention.
