Abstract
The treatment of hydatid cyst opened in the biliary tract is not yet consensus. Radical treatment is certainly the best treatment to settle the problem of fistula and the cyst. Conservative treatment remains the treatment of choice in endemic countries. The choice of technique depends on local surgeon's experience and local conditions and topography. The best treatment in all cases is by eradicating the preventive Echinococcus.
