Abstract
The HIPEC technique causes anxiety and fear of potentially noxious side effects among OR personnel. This perception is significantly improved when HIPEC is performed using a semi-open technique, which places an occlusive barrier between the open peritoneal cavity and the atmosphere of the OR. It is essential for surgeons to address both perceived fears and the real risks of HIPEC, which affect the surgical team.
