Abstract
Alvarado's score is a reliable, cheap and reproducible tool for the diagnosis of acute appendicitis in the emergency if it is higher than 6 or lower than 4 without complementary exams. Between 4 and 6, it is necessary to assess this dynamic score 24Â hours after and/or to complete the assessment by a complementary exams.
