Abstract
Current medications for management of diabetes mellitus in older individuals include first and second generation sulfonylurea medications, meglintinides, incretin medications, alpha glucosidase inhibitors, metformin, and thiazolidinediones. This article discusses indications for their usage, along with their beneficial and adverse effects.
