Abstract
Reduced functional ability in the older person often results in loss of independence, particularly with bathing and showering. There are many assisted-living devices available through both Occupational Therapists and commercially, which allow the older person to bathe and shower safely, unaided and with dignity. I describe some of the more widely-available devices and to whom they most suit.
