Abstract
The aim of this article is to report a brief therapy of an elderly patient after trauma (aggression) by combining two complementary and integrative qualitative methodologies: life story (LS) and tree drawings (TD). The LS allows the individual to position him/herself subjectively in relation to his/her personal, family and social history. Whereas the TD is a graphic medium of projection, visualization, highlighting key elements of this history. The case study of Dina, 75 years old, victim of aggression (snatch robbery) with assault and battery, allows the authors to show that LS, TD and tree histories help to address individuals in all their richness, singularity and complexity by offering opportunities for reflection, awareness and decision-making whilst enhancing their resilience.
