Abstract
The care in a geronpsychiatric unit of patients, victims of iatrogenics are frequent. In Greek, the word means literally “caused (provoked) by the doctors” (iatros: doctors; genes: which is engendered). The patients are admitted to hospital with a personal and medical history so full that sometimes the patients are at a loss. Using a case report, we will review the difference between a subjective history and a medical surgical anamnesis, highlighting the importance of an open and dynamic listening as well as a multidisciplinary care that permits the patient to become reconciled with his/her story and their psychic suffering.
