Abstract
The first step to take in a preventive action could be assessing one's state of health with the help of an auto-questionnaire that would target the risks involved in traveling, including aeronautical constraints, with the view to preparing a consultation with the attending physician. This consultation, decided by the future traveler as part of his preparation for the trip, should be able to fulfill the second stage of the preventive action by its role of expertise, orientation and follow-up. Now, filling out an auto-questionnaire beforehand and consulting the attending physician are the two recognized key elements in any prevention strategy. After a presentation of the profile of senior travelers, the aeronautical constraints and their effect on the body, we will discuss the key elements of such a strategy and the importance of considering the preparedness of older people to travel as an opportune approach to primary and secondary prevention.
