Abstract
After an epidemiological review of the elder subject's psychic pathologies and their evolution, in France and locally, the intersectorial geropsychiatry unit of Blain hospital is presented in its various aspects: main reasons for hospitalisation, building's architecture, multi-professional composition of the team, with a development on the importance of harmonious collaboration between psychiatrist and gerontologist, the supply of care offered (with the different types of consultation), work with family and health network. The difficulties of such a structure are discussed, particularly in light of its intersector nature, and because it is an admission structure. The unit projects (space of light-therapy) conclude the article.
