Abstract
Within the long-stay unit of the medical gerontological Department of Neuilly-Courbevoie hospital, we estimated during year 2009Â the cognitive state of every resident. We are hit to see that 20% of the patients have not a diagnosis clearly put down at the entrance while 86% suffer from cognitive disorders. While very few testing memory took place in SLD since the beginning, in the stemming of Mini mental state, three patients benefited a neuropsychological testing, allowing then to put a diagnosis either to question the initial diagnosis. Beyond the intellectual interest, it allowed therapeutic modifications and individualized project of care.
