Abstract
“Hysteria” as “neurosis” are terms that no longer appear in the current nosographies, but are frequently used in practice, reflecting a ground truth, but also convey a negative image of the patient, which can make him run some risks. What may be the clinical manifestations of hysteria, particularly in old age? What are the representations associated with such patients? What are the historical foundations and fantasy? How to think the negative counter-transference they may be?
