Abstract
Most of the hospital admissions in geriatric department occur around 80 years of age. Falls and psychological disorders mean the ending of a way of life and represent a transition all the more difficult to overcome that it does not yet feature on the map of the old age. This perspective is viewed as a decline. That creates frequently a mental distress. It is one crucial moment because it corresponds to an upheaval of a psychosomatic nature which results in an often spectacular suffering and disorders in a depressive context whose exit will determine the quality of life to come.
