Abstract
In an era where the expression “burn out” is used by everyone, it might be worthwhile to talk about the positive aspects of stress as well as simple ways of dealing with it. This article is devoted to a different strategy on this question, where the physiological model of personal stress is transposed to the hospital team working in the setting of a gerontology psychiatric unit. Beyond the well-known stress preventing virtues of the coffee break and laughter at work, one can mention other personal and mass aspects of the medical care team, including motivation and sublimation.
