Neuroophthalmological signs in nasopharyngeal carcinoma are secondary to direct extension of the tumor into the orbital apex and the skull base. Visual loss and oculomotor deficit usually respond to radiotherapy. The duration of the neural injury is the most important factor influencing neurological outcome.
