Abstract
In this article we focus on the main mechanism of these works - the detailed body as well as the work as a whole. What is the impact of these works on patients and medical care givers? Could such works have a calming effect on suffering and pain by creating a visual and auditory expression of the illness? Or on the contrary, could these increase the pain and frustration? Should we use such works to mediate medical care? Or just accept them as purely artistic works - testaments of our century's ordinary tragedies.
