Abstract
A number of research projects, analyzed from the perspective of the social sciences, effectively shed light on the issues and practices involved in the treatment of comorbidities in Alzheimer's disease. Starting from a few examples (fracture of neck of femur and chronic hip disease, pain, sensory deficits, end of life), these projects encourage a more global approach to problems that are the daily concern of care staff yet demand consideration by all concerned.
