Abstract
Tumor necrosis factor (TNF) is a cytokine with multidirectional biological activity. TNF plays a physiological role in host defense, inflammation, and cell differentiation and a pathological role in diverse conditions such as fever, cachexia, septic shock, rheumatoid arthritis. A lot of authors suggest that TNF is involved in the progression of chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
