Abstract
SummaryThis article discusses the epidemiology of HIV/HBV and HIV/HVC co-infection from Republic of Moldova. The study includes a number of 197 patients with HIV infection. Due to shared routes of transmission, an estimated 66,4% HIV-Infected persons are co-infected with hepatitis C virus (HCV) and 23,3% are co-infected with hepatitis B virus (HVB). The most affected group in co-infection HIV/HVC was adult male blood drug users, and the most cases of co-infection HIV/HVB were in group of adult females with sexual route of infection.
