Abstract
The pediatric hematology and oncology network of Ãle-de-France (RIFHOP) main objective is to help families when they first return home after the diagnosis of childhood cancer, but also works with health-care professionals about specific training and harmonization of care for children with tumors. After eight years of practice in this field, the coordination team takes stock of these actions. Based on their initial objectives, they summarized what was possible to achieve with families and health professionals. Between home visits with families, professional trainings and the creation of many tools, that is, beyond the coordination team, an entire network of professionals who are involved daily to improve quality of life and facilitate the care of children treated for cancer through the many working groups and the network administration. Since the establishment of this regional network, real progresses are visible even if further actions remain to be finalized.
