Abstract
These results show an association between the inflammatory autoimmune marker Rheumatoid Factor and CP/CPPS. Although no significant differences in the remaining assayed autoantibodies were observed, a tendency to higher positive incidence in patients compared with controls was seen. Additional studies with an enlarged population of patients are needed to elucidate the exact role of the humoral autoimmune response in CP/CPPS.
