Hypoglycemia-induced anoxic brain injury possibly associated with levofloxacin

We describe an elderly, non-diabetic patient with steroid-induced hyperglycemia prescribed glyburide who later developed severe hypoglycemia resulting in anoxic brain injury soon after initiating therapy with levofloxacin.
