Abstract
Malaria and leptospirosis are both common in tropics. Simultaneous infections are possible though not commonly reported. We report a case of severe sepsis secondary to leptospirosis with possibly vivax malaria. Dual infections are common but under recognized in the tropics. Failure to treat potential co-infections may lead to poor outcome.
