Abstract
												Infections are a major cause of morbidity and mortality in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Know which infections occur more frequently in patients with lupus may allow early diagnosis and timely treatment. In this article we review the frequency of infection in patients with SLE, major infectious complications and the factors involved in its development.
