Abstract
Two cases of infectious panniculitis caused by the fungi Histoplasma capsulatum in two autoimmune diseases: systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and dermatomyositis (DM) are presented. Both had severe systemic activity of baseline disease and were immunosuppressed with high-dose steroids. The first signs were fever and nodular skin lesions. Skin biopsy confirmed the diagnosis.
