The detection of antisynthetase antibodies allows us to define a subgroup of patients with idiopathic inflammatory myositis and pulmonary disease as determinant prognosis factor. So, the early detection of antisynthetase antibodies is necessary in the diagnostic and management of inflammatory miopaties and idiopathic interstitial lung disease of unclear etiology with the purpose of determining an adecuate diagnosis and treatment for improving the prognosis of these diseases.
