Abstract
Guidelines for prescription of these new drugs are still expected. Voriconazole seems to become the reference drug for therapy of Aspergillus infections. Fluconazole remains the first-line drug for a vast majority of Candida infections, except in case of resistant species, resistant strains or previous use of triazoles. In this setting, voriconazole could be proposed. Echinocandins appear to be the drug of choice in case of renal impairment.
