Abstract
Real time PCR method is already seen as a tool applicable to molecular epidemiology, for detection of emerging pathogens and for antibiotic resistance detection. The objectives of this review include four principal techniques used for real time detection and quantification, with current application of real time PCR for the detection of various pathogens and the development of new tests.
