Abstract
Nuclear factor (NF) κB is a ubiquitously expressed transcription factor that plays critical roles in normal development and inflammation. Characterization of naturally occurring defects in signaling pathways leading to activation of NFκB, complemented by mouse knockout models, has demonstrated the vital role of NFκB in normal host defense.
