Abstract
► Fasciola spp. in Myanmar were characterized based on spermatogenesis status and nuclear and mitochondrial DNA markers. ► Eight aspermic Fasciola sp. and 80 F. gigantica were detected in Myanmar. ► Phylogenetic analysis revealed that aspermic Fasciola sp. are not established in Myanmar, and indicated that unique history of F. gigantica introduction into Myanmar.
