Abstract
⺠Hairy nightshade as inoculum source of several PVY strains. ⺠Hairy nightshade affects PVY epidemiology in the potato pathosystem. ⺠PVYNTN reaches high titre levels in hairy nightshade and potato. ⺠PVY aphid vectors can acquire the virus from hairy nightshade or potato plants. ⺠Hairy nightshade increases transmission of PVYNTN by M. persicae and M. euphorbiae.
