Abstract
Meiosis progression could not go beyond metaphase I stage when microtubule or microfilament polymerization was prohibited in human oocytes. The migration of cortical granules to the cortex and redistribution of mitochondria to the inner cytoplasm were mediated by microfilaments and microtubules, respectively.
