Abstract
Interleukin-10 is known to down-regulate inflammation. The G13 allele in the interleukin-10.G microsatellite occurred more frequently in women with cervical insufficiency compared with controls, suggesting that alterations in inflammatory processes may play a role in cervical insufficiency.
