Abstract
The nature of the relationship between sarcoidosis and neoplasia remains a vexed issue. This paper reviews the evidence that malignant neoplasms may incite a systemic granulomatous response virtually indistinguishable from sarcoidosis, and that this response favorably influences the course in some instances.
