Abstract
SummaryIn response to the current nursing shortage, nurse educators are often challenged with teaching at an accelerated pace in curricula that are overflowing with content. This may be especially difficult in content-heavy courses such as pathophysiology. To enhance student learning, innovative teaching methods that communicate essential nursing content and avoid an over abundance of passive imparting of information are needed. This article describes one teaching strategy that reinforces the vital content of an accelerated pathophysiology nursing course and provides opportunities for student growth and understanding beyond the basic objectives of the course.
