Metodología didáctica para la enseñanza de reanimación cardiopulmonar en edad infantil

ResumenEn un estudio publicado en la revista British Medical Journal 2007, se hacía una crítica a la enseñanza de la reanimación cardiopulmonar (RCP) en niños basándose en la falta de fuerza suficiente para realizar maniobras de compresión torácica efectivas y con profundidad adecuada. Se situaba la edad mínima para la enseñanza en los 13-14 años por tener la capacidad cognitiva y física para actuar como testigos de una situación de emergencias vital. Este estudio concluía que, si bien las mejores edades para realizar una RCP efectiva era a partir de los 13 años, la enseñanza a los niños más pequeños proporciona conocimientos y la perspectiva de lograr una mayor destreza en el futuro.Aunque con este trabajo quisimos presentar las líneas didácticas de la enseñanza de la RCP en preescolares adaptando los contenidos a su estado de desarrollo evolutivo físico y mental, nos dimos cuenta de la necesidad de involucrar a los docentes de los niños en este proyecto.

In a study published in the British Medical Journal 2007, a critique was presented on the teaching of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CRP) in children, being based on the lack of sufficient force to perform a few manoeuvres of effective chest compressions and with suitable depth. Placing the minimum age for the education between 13-14 years, due to having the cognitive and physical aptitude to act as witnesses of life-threatening emergencies. This study concluded that although the best ages to perform effective CRP was from 13 years, and that the teaching of younger children provides knowledge and the perspective to be better skilled in the future.Although, with this work, it is intended to present the didactic lines of the education of the CRP in pre-schoolchildren, adapting the contents to their stage of physical and mental development of evolutionary physical and mental development, account is taken of the need to involve the children's teachers in this project.
