Abstract
Endemic viral infections are those caused by viruses circulating in a particular geographic region, producing regular cases. In the last years has been a geographical expansion of some mosquito-borne viruses, as Dengue virus and West Nile virus, both may present severe manifestations in the course of the infection. The Dengue virus can cause hemorrhagic fever, which may develop into dengue shock syndrome whereas West Nile virus cause neuroinvasive disease as encephalitis. Knowledge about epidemiology and clinical features of these infections is needed to identify cases early.
