Abstract
Infections are the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in immunocompromised patients. Depending on the nature of the immune deficiency exists more or less susceptibility to infection by a specific germ. Clinical and radiological findings are often nonspecific. A systemic approach with proper anamnesis of organs and systems, allows to reduce the differential diagnosis and perform a more rational selection of diagnostic tests and therapeutic interventions for these patients. El early and often invasive procedures are necessary to begin a proper treatment.
