Abstract
ResumenLa gasometría arterial (GSA) es la prueba que más rápida y eficazmente puede informar sobre el intercambio pulmonar de gases y el equilibrio ácido-base, siendo por ello una herramienta básica para el diagnóstico en Urgencias. La indicación principal de la GSA es el diagnóstico, pronóstico y monitorización del tratamiento de la insuficiencia respiratoria (IR).
The arterial blood gas (ABG) test is the fastest and most effective method for determining lung gas exchange and acid-base equilibria and is therefore a basic diagnostic tool in emergency departments. The main indication for ABG is the diagnosis, prognosis and monitoring of treatment for respiratory failure (RF).
