Abstract
Impedance in conjunction with manometry assesses the bolus transit in patients with esophageal motility abnormalities. In addition, the joined use of impedance and pH-metry allows to detect weakly acidic or non-acidic reflux episodes. However, further studies are need to assess the performance and usefulness of both technologies.
