Abstract
Narrow QRS-complex tachycardias are one of the most frequent, repeated and common cardiovascular diseases in hospital and outpatient emergency departments. In general, clinical tolerance is good, but in some patients the disease causes haemodynamic instability and precipitates or impairs the underlying conditions (such as heart failure and ischemic heart disease). Proper application of available therapies is highly effective. Accurate clinic and electrocardiographic diagnostic underpins the proper application of appropriate treatment. This article provides a brief diagnostic-therapeutic protocol in order to recognize basic differential diagnostic criteria between various types of narrow QRS-complex tachycardias, and according to them, to choose the most effective treatment.
