Abstract
CVE annual incidence in smoking subjects was greater, with a minor average of age. Smokers presented a similar number of co-morbidities and total/patient costs. Clinical control objectives should be better in Primary prevention of the cardiovascular risk factors. To give up smoking should be the best strategy to diminish CVE incidence.
