Abstract
An immobilized patient is not synonymous with a patient in need of palliative care; the tool used has been proved to be useful to detect this need, which concerns a third of our patients. The results of the questionnaire of need for care palliative (NECPAL) relate well to the basic activities of daily living (Barthel scale score) and to indicators of use of health services.
