The results of our sample TTR is suboptimal (<Â 60%), which implies an increased risk for embolic episodes and increased likelihood of bleeding. We need to incorporate into our clinical practice an objective measure of the quality of anticoagulation in order to identify poorly controlled patients and introduce corrective measures.
