Abstract
Neurological autoimmune disorders (NAID) comprise a group of disorders mediated by undesired immune reactions targeting components of the central and peripheral nervous system or the neuromuscular junction. A growing body of evidence supports feedback interactions between the immune system and central physiological mechanisms controlling sleep and wakefulness. An imbalance between these interactions may alter sleep patterns or compromise daytime functions.
