Abstract
This article reviews the different types of pancreas allograft transplantation, including the various forms of duct management and venous drainage. Sonographic technique and common sonographic findings are described. The role of sonography in the effective diagnosis and treatment of allograft disorders is emphasized. Limitations of sonography in the workup of these patients are discussed, along with the incorporation of alternative and complementary imaging modalities.
