Abstract
Saline infusion sonohysterography is a useful adjunct to transvaginal ultrasonography for the evaluation of the endometrial cavity. Patients who may benefit from this technique include pre- and postmenopausal women who have abnormal endometrial thickening, women who have submucosal fibroids, and women undergoing screening before in vitro fertilization.
